Supplied with:

- Liquid medium

- Pre paid return mailer envelope
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the test plate from the plastic bag and place it on a
level surface
- Remove the lid from the plate. Do not touch the inside of the plate,
this may contaminate it. Some weather conditions may cause a moisture layer
to build up on the bottom of the plate. The droplets will not interfere with
the performance.
- Open the enclosed bottle and pour enough of the Test Gel (approximately
1 teaspoon) into the plate to evenly cover the bottom.
- Place the lid back on the plate and keep it on a level surface until the
liquid hardens (45 to 60 minutes).
- To test the visual mold on a wall or other location, use the swab
provided in the package and wipe the tip across the visual mold growth. Then
gently wipe the mold sample from the swab into the gel in the plate. Cover
the plate and note the location on the label on the outside bottom of the
plate.
- Place the covered plate in a dark, room temperature location such as a
cabinet to allow the mold to grow. After 48 hours observe the mold growth,
if no growth is observed, return the plate to the cabinet and examine it
after 96 hours. If no mold is present after 96 hours analysis is not
necessary.
- If mold is present, the plate may be sent for lab analysis anytime after
48 hours. The plate must be sent for lab analysis within 5 days of the test.
- If your results indicate there is a mold problem, fill out the enclosed
lab information card. Place the plate (tape the lid in place prior to
mailing) and lab card into the plastic bag. Place the plastic bag with
contents into the mailer envelope and drop into any outgoing mail box.
- Upon receipt at the laboratory, a certified laboratory analyst will
visually examine the plate then identify and quantify the mold found growing
on the surface. The quantities will be determined in terms of colonies of
mold. A colony is a single point of growth of mold and may be the result of
more than one germinating mold spore.
